Each time that I update this introduction, I realize how much time has changed and how quickly it passes. Looking back, I never really remember choosing painting as a career, at least it was not a conscious decision...it was just always my reality. I love to paint. Every compromise begins there and I have painted almost all of my life.
I was raised in rural Chester County, PA. I studied art in Philadelphia at the Tyler College of Art, studied in Italy, traveled throughout Europe and graduated in 1976. Since then I have spent most of my time in Ocean City, NJ. The influences of the Atlantic have been many and much of my artwork reflects a passion for sailing, surfing and fishing. From Maine to Florida the beauty of the coast is always an inspiration. My association with the American Society of Marine Artists has been a great experience and inspiration. Four years at the helm as President has also taught me much.
I also serve on the board of the Ocean City Arts Center and teach painting. My work has bee featured in The Artist's Magazine and my paintings included in numerous museum exhibits.
