All piano instruction is one on one. All students will learn the language of music, develop performance skills and grow in the appreciation of music through participation. Students must have, at their disposal, either an acoustic piano or a minimum 61 key keyboard.

Students learn sight reading, ear training, snare drum rudiments, drum set, dynamics in music, use of sticks, mallets and brushes in all musical settings.  Preparation for school band, community orchestras, pop bands, college concert and marching bands. Taught by an experienced, professional musician.

Learn the essentials that every guitarist should know. Many topics will be covered, including proper playing technique, reading staff notation, tablature, rhythm, scales, chords, improvisation, music theory and more. Lessons are individualized depending on student's aspirations.

Students will learn the Salzedo harp method. Beginners will learn basic music theory and how to read music. These lessons are for those learning for fun or looking to pursue the instrument professionally. A harp is available for practice at the Arts Center and for use during private lessons.

VOCAL PERFORMANCE

Students will learn basic vocal technique including proper breath control, projection and how to 'tell the story' of the song. They will also work through a series of vocal exercises to assess their tone and potential.
