" I find inspiration in nature, and in particular the ocean. My most fulfilling work comes when I am photographing Coastal areas. However, many artists find inspiration in landscapes such as these so it is important to make one's art stand apart from the crowd. In my photos, I strive to transcend the superficial and stereotypical beach landscapes that one could buy from multiple stores in any beach town by using unusual angles, different color schemes, and original scene compositions to truly give the viewer an understanding of my thoughts and feelings. My goal is to deliver lasting emotions to those viewing my work instead of just providing a momentary visual stimulant."

Photographer John Elasic of Delaware will exhibit his landscapes at the Ocean City Arts Center in October. His work includes coastal scenes, beaches, urban and mountain ranges. An avid surfer, John uses unusual angles, different color schemes
and original scene compositions to differentiate his work.
