Gallery for June 2011:
"In the Manner of Edward Hopper"

Invitational Themed Show

In this invitational exhibit, the Ocean City Arts Center is looking for new work that resonates with the aura of Hopper's Work. The paintings of Edward Hopper (1882-1967) have been called both gritty and majestic. Hopper's themes can easily be transferred to the New Jersey seashore, where in the summers everybody is in transit and also in the winters where the off-season can be lonely and stark.
