DISNEY CAMP - Caroline & Julia Erickson

Each day students will focus on a different Disney story.  We will do arts and crafts, read our story, sing, dance, play games, use our imaginations and at the end of the week put on a fantastic show with what we have learned.

Students have a chance to move and dance like their favorite pop stars!  Class will involve jazz and hip hop movement with pop dancing!  We will then go over stage movements. There will be a mini show at the end of the camp.

SCULPTURE BY THE SEA - Amy Havens

Inspired by our beaches we will make free-standing sculptures, mobiles, and wall hangings from seashells, driftwood, wire, glass, etc. Materials are provided but you may bring your own beach finds to use in your artwork.

ANIMALS - Aaron Bogushefsky               Ages 6-13

July 10, 9:00-noon

In this class led by local artist and teacher “Bogy”, students will learn how to draw animals of all kinds.  They will create underwater scenes with watercolors and oil pastels, paint their favorite animal on canvas, make an animal collage, create 3-D sculptures and practice drawing correct animal forms.  If you love animals and want to get better at drawing them this class is for you!

BEACH & SURF ART - Aaron Bogushefsky

Led by local surf artist and teacher “Bogy”, students will learn to make beach & surf art.  Inspired by the OC lifestyle, this class will highlight the beach, surf and boardwalk.  Students will create paintings and oil pastel drawings, use clay to build miniature sand castles, cut paper collages and more.  If your kids like the beach and boardwalk this is the perfect camp!

FUTURE INVENTORS ROBOT CLUB

Travel around the world creating masterpieces that are inspired by beautiful places.  We will go to places such as Mexico, Africa, Australia, India, etc.  Artwork will include sculptures, drawings and paintings made with plaster, yarn, paint and many more mediums!

Campers will be exposed to several projects that will focus on the science of art and create projects that blend both experiments and artistic expression.  They will use different artistic techniques and build problem solving skills using the design process to complete projects.  Projects will include watercolor paining, soap making, working with dyes and book sculpture.

Jazz, Pilates, yoga, ballet, barre, technique training and more.  This camp will bring together all different forms of training and exercise, perfect for creating a well rounded dancer.  Each day we will explore a different form of training to strengthen the body and will finish the day with a fun dance combination.

Students will take an art-filled journey around the world.  Using various materials, students will create spectacular artwork inspired by various cultures around the globe.  They will record their travel destinations in a hand-crafted, personalized “passport”.

Campers will learn to illustrate using ipad technology. Focus will be on portraiture, perspective drawing, photography and video editing.  Campers will learn how to use a variety of applications and principals of design.  By the end of the week campers  will have a diverse digital portfolio of work.  Tablet or smartphone is required.

WHO DID THAT?!? - Christine O’Brien

Campers will have so much fun learning about famous artists and what kind of artwork they created.  Paint and draw Georgia O’Keeffe inspired landscapes and flowers.  Learn all about Andy Warhol while printmaking.  Experiment with paper making while learning about David Hockney.  Picasso, Matisse and as many artists as we have time to cover!

Learn to make one-of-a kind creations using the art of mosaic.  Piece together bits of tile, glass, marble, beads and even paper to make pictures and embellishments.  Take a project from planning to completion.  Work with cement, adhesives and tile nippers.  Hands–on fun!

Students will get to explore and experiment with many different art mediums and styles.  Fun and exciting!  Each day we will create with a different medium—pencils, markers, charcoal, watercolor, acrylics, clay, plaster, paper mache, etc.  We will draw, paint, sculpt, print and create graphic designs!
