About the Show...

South Jersey artist Lolly Grilli brings her exhibit “She's All Over the Place” to the Ocean City Arts Center March 2 through March 31. A “Meet the Artist Reception”, free and open to the public, will be held Friday, March 9, from 7pm to 8:30pm. Her work will be for sale and ranges in price from $95 to $300.

Lolly said, “My subject matter can be ‘all over the place’, but are images that I’m attracted to, and inspire me. My hope is that my paintings are easily relatable, speak to the viewer in some way, and if they should adorn your home, are like the background music to your life”.

An acrylic painter, Lolly returned to art after a 30 year civil service career. A native of Philadelphia, Lolly now lives in Gloucester County. She has participated in many exhibits including Priya Gallery Juried Shows in 2013; Main Line Art Center Gala Exhibit Juried Show in 2015; Burlington County Art Alliance Juried Show in 2015; Academy of Notre Dame Invitational in 2016 and 2017; Markeim Art Center Juried Shows in 2016 and 2017; and more.

Lolly’s more recent paintings incorporate a somewhat abstract approach to themes of pop culture, and using layers of texture. Her work is colorful and vibrant.
