About the Show...

About Francesca...
Born in Cagliari, Sardinia, a city on a beautiful island in the Mediterranean, Francesca moved to New Jersey as an infant. She uses visible brush strokes and bright colors in her acrylic paintings. She explores different line and color combinations to create unlikely atmospheres for her subject matters. Francesca’s paintings are often metaphors for her personality, experiences, and views. When she’s not immersed in her painting projects, she enjoys working on illustrations and petal art. She often takes pictures through her travels and weekend adventures, and recreates these images with vivacious colors and movement. During the winter she works in her indoor studio, but in the summer you can see her outdoors studying the various flowers in full bloom, or even examining a fallen tree. In her collection, you will find a mix of flowers, plants and buildings.
Ocean City Arts Center Executive Director Rosalyn Lifshin said, “Our Board President, Dr. Jack Devine, spotted Francesca at the Boardwalk Art Show last year and loved her work. It’s great to be able to offer our Boardwalk Art Show participants an opportunity to have a solo show”.
