The Artist...

Andee Axe is a contemporary painter based in Philadelphia. Andee studied two-dimensional fine art at Moore College of Art and later worked as a licensed artist inside of Philadelphia, her work taking on different forms and styles over time. Andee’s most recent paintings use acrylic and gouache mediums, at times incorporating glitter and beaded elements for texture, juxtaposition and a bit of pizzaz. Her style is bright, colorful and whimsical. Her focus is on the familiar and the famous: scenes and individuals that bring joy, whether from today or decades before us.

Andee’s work appears in numerous private collections, at pop-up events and can be seen in Philadelphia Galleries or her private studio by appointment. Andee happily accepts commissions, and is thrilled to offer fans pieces of art that will bring them joy on a daily basis for years to come.

Andee makes art that smiles at you and it makes you want to smile back. No matter what color is on her brush, she paints from a palette of vivid emotions, happy memories, and pure joy. Whether familiar or famous, the subjects in her paintings aren’t afraid to have fun and take you along for the ride. They dance. They wink. They sparkle. They use bold pop colors to celebrate the brightest moments we share with the people who we love. Each painting sends a burst of happy into the world and that’s something we can all appreciate.

Andee Axe is the kind of person who has never been able to sit and watch the paint dry. From an early age, she has always had her sleeves rolled up, always ready to enthusiastically make a splash on any canvas she could find.
